Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University established the Scientific Publications and Journals Coordinatorship under the instruction of Prof. Dr. R. Cüneyt Erenoğlu. This coordinatorship aims to improve the quality of scientific publications produced within the university by bringing them together. It also aims to monitor developments regarding these standards and to create an accountable structure. In this direction, it is aimed to work in a fair and transparent manner. The established coordinatorship will operate with a directive prepared on the basis of Article 14 of the Higher Education Law No. 2547, Articles 5, 6 and 7 of the Press Law No. 5187, the relevant provisions of the Higher Education Law No. 2547, the Regulation on Publications Other Than Books Used as Course Materials in Universities and Books Other Than Reprints and Auxiliary Books, and the Universities Publication Regulation.

Scientific Publications and Journals Coordinatorship was established under the chairmanship of Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Dinçay Köksal and Coordinator Dr. Lecturer. Prof. Dr. Dinçay Köksal, Vice Rector and Dr. Filiz Mutlu, Coordinator, held its first meeting on 06.10.2023 and continues its activities. By evaluating the general situation of scientific publications within ÇOMU, strategies for continuous improvement are determined, especially the objectives, working policies and task distribution of the coordinatorship, and the aims of increasing both the capacity and quality levels in scientific publications and journals are carried out with a focus on "quality".
