TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM continuously implements improvements within the DergiPark system to provide an infrastructure that complies with international standards in academic publishing. As of 2025, significant enhancements are planned for the "Publisher Page" and "Scientific Publication Coordination" roles.

In this context, it has been recommended that universities establish "Scientific Journals Coordination Offices." With the new regulation, journal applications and certain processes within DergiPark will be managed by the Scientific Publication Coordinator. This change is considered an important step toward improving the quality of university-affiliated scientific journals.

To ensure the effective implementation of this process, Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University’s Scientific Publications and Journals Coordination Office participated in the seminar titled "Creating a Publisher Page in DergiPark and the Appointment Process of the Scientific Publication Coordinator," organized by TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM on January 14, 2025, from 14:00 to 16:00.
